Based out of the oldest modern city on the Mississippi River, Natchez, MS, Sammy QaDan is a road-tested, seasoned artist whose music will leave you feeling vulnerable, exposed and a little bit lighter in the soul.
His youth was spent on a cattle farm on the side of the Historic Highway 61, commonly known as The Blues Highway. There, he grew up with the sounds of Country Radio as the soundtrack of summers spent on the farm with his grandfather and uncles. Additionally, his mother & sister instilled in him a deep love of Rock Music from the 60--90s at a young age, and as he got older, he explored more and more of that realm of sonic space.
Today, you will find QaDan as a musical gumbo of the aforementioned genres with hints of Soul & Gospel, all drenched in an overtone of The Blues.
Some people play The Blues..
Some people HAVE the Blues.
He's definitely got The Blues.
To put it plainly, he sounds like Mississippi.
And some whispers say that he is the torch bearer of a Modern Renaissance of Emerging Artists in the State Where America's Music all First Started.
